COVID-19 Rules for the Dutch Creek pool
The usual pool rules & regulations are in effect. These are posted at the pool.
In addition, due to COVID-19, there is new guidance that MUST be adhered to as directed by B.C. Health:
Stay home if you are sick! Do NOT enter if you or anyone in your family /”‘bubble” are ill or at high risk.
In order to meet the physical distancing requirements, a maximum of 10 people are allowed in the pool area at any given time.
This may be comprised of a maximum of TWO families or “bubbles”.
Access is on a ‘first come first served’ basis; you must consider the number of users that Family A has listed when signing up as Family B.
A sign-up sheet will be located outside the pool area for residents to sign up for a pool slot.
The sign-up sheet will be posted every evening around 8–8:30pm.
Users will be limited to one booking of a 1 hour time slot per day but if bookings are light then please use the pool for more than your hour, being respectful of others who also wish to use it. Those who have signed up will have priority access for their time slot.
Users must ensure physical distancing requirements are met while in use (families/”bubbles” must stay 2m apart if two groups are sharing the area).
Upon arrival, sanitize your hands and, as an extra precaution, please supplement our cleaning with your own cleaning of high touch surfaces using sanitizer and paper towels provided. E.g. Lock, parts of gate, rails, door knobs, faucets. Please repeat when leaving.
A main contact for each family or “bubble” must sign-in on the clipboard inside the pool area (This is different than the sign-up sheet.)
The washrooms and shower area will remain open. Only one family at a time is permitted in the washroom and shower area.
All shared items (including pool furniture and toys) will be removed except for mandatory lifesaving equipment and the sun umbrellas. Please bring and remove all your own items.
Please be kind, be responsible and fun… for your health and safety and for that of others.
Owners with guests or renters need to convey these rules to those people. We cannot overemphasize how important this is!
These rules MUST be adhered to as they are set out by the Provincial Government and are the conditions upon which we are able to open the pool. Failure to adhere to the guidelines may result in the pool being closed for the season.
